Samsung India takes immense pleasure in announcing the Smart TV Apps Design Contest “splashindiaontv” for students of premier Design Institutes in India. We invite you to create outstanding apps for our Smart TV platform focusing on relevance in the Indian home context. Your app designs may win prizes worth up to 2 lakh rupees.
Idea of having this contest in design colleges is to generate fresh ideas & also the best designs in terms of Interaction Design, Visual Design & User Experience. |

Submissions can be done after registering at our website. Registration is completely FREE.
Do go through the Terms of Contest published there and accept them for completing your registration. |

Download SDK incase you want to go ahead & try your hand in developing the app. here |

| Additional Guidelines: |

|
We would like to see apps relevant to the Indian context of TV viewing. Please keep your focus on this. |
|
|
While we understand that the TV is a content intensive consumer device, we request you to refrain from using proprietary content of any nature. If you have a great idea that you think could be enhanced by the use of some such content, please include it as an “optional” feature pending business tie-ups. Needless to say, Samsung cannot always take ownership of negotiating business terms for such content. So, avoid it. |

Not just you, but your institute too stands to win prizes for wholesome participation. The college with the maximum number of short-listed entries will also win a special award. |

|
Purpose of this contest is to have great Apps which has a business potential associated with it, so think from all these angles. |

|
Think of a Smart APP idea, something which you would love to see on your TV. It can be any app like game, utility or fun. |
